So, how would you like to have an invoice open, and just point and click to populate fields in SharePoint? That’s right, just point at the invoice number and have it automatically pop into a SharePoint column. Sounds like magic, right? This technology does exist, and it is provided by Captaris. The application was part of a recent aquisition of Oce Document Technologies, or ODT.
So how does it work? The software has a built-in integration with Internet Explorer, so all you have to do is open SharePoint, upload a new document, and then choose “Single Click Entry” from the Tools menu. See the images below:
The whole process is pretty slick, and this is a great solution with many different applications.
